Most women I talk to don’t lack discipline in their eating habits, but after stress or burnout, they lack a sense of security.
Stress is often the result of misunderstandings in close relationships, and burnout comes when a woman has too many responsibilities on her shoulders at once.
The body responds to pressure by increasing volume, especially when it is kept in survival mode for too long. In situations of stress and/or burnout, strict diets are perceived by the body as an additional challenge, tracking every bite seems like another annoying duty, and stress feels like even more stress.
After a certain amount of endurance, the body begins to resist. We enter a mode where the body reminds us of its needs, and we are forced to listen to them.
Violations of the rules, deviations from plans, do not begin because you are weak, but because the body has learned to protect you with the methods available to it.
After 35 years, especially after prolonged stress, losing weight should not be a battle for survival; understanding through “negotiations with your own nervous system” is more productive.If the body is constantly in a state of readiness for resistance, releasing accumulated energy becomes biologically difficult and is not a quick process. Because historical memory reminds the body, safety should come first.
How to reduce the “body’s anxiety” about safety in the future? Obviously, the body needs to be calmed down, like a baby, by organizing it (read for yourself). :
– regular nutrition instead of restrictions;
– sufficient sleep instead of a calorie deficit;
– discipline restrictions within the framework of the body’s basic needs;
– a stable background of vital activity instead of an intensive one.
Weight loss becomes possible again when the body no longer feels threatened.
In addition, weight loss is no longer just a slower way to achieve results, but a matter of sustainable development. Weight loss is a lifestyle, not a short-term marathon.
