Over the past six months, I lost 10 kilograms by changing my diet. I know this might not be the perfect time to bring it up, but I wanted to share.Losing weight hasn’t been easy for me, especially at my age and with diabetes.
Still, I’d like to share what I’ve learned along the way.
I want to talk about my own journey of managing my health, drawing on what I know from science, my own experience, and my doctor’s advice.
I think hunger can sometimes be linked to unmet social needs, such as wanting friendly conversation or support from others.
Also, I’ve found that motivation is what really drives. My motivation grew after a flare-up made me realise I could lose my mobility.
But just walking around with a pedometer didn’t help me. Having a goal or finding some enjoyment in walking made a real difference.
I usually do one of two things: I go out to take photos of nature, or I visit a store to look for a lucky charm or some small, special find.
Having a favourite hobby also helps me make the most of my free time positively.
I love cooking and trying new things in the kitchen.
But I make sure to pay attention to things like grams, calories, and healthy ingredients, since I want to avoid any problems.
Lately, I’ve gotten really interested in fruit and vegetable carving.
It’s fun and interesting, and after spending two or three hours working on a piece of fruit, you don’t want to eat it. When you finish, it feels like you’ve put so much of yourself into it that it’s almost a shame to eat your creation.
Therefore, it’s better to give someone a gift—to do something nice.
My first creations were a little uneven, but I already have new ideas to try.
Do you have any advice for me?
Has anyone ever played with fruit and vegetable carving?
